Project Summary
VIC1 Bioenergy will be one of the first projects in Australia to produce mains-grade biomethane from processed commercial and industrial organic waste.
Objective
The VIC1 plant will divert commercial, industrial, agricultural and municipal organic waste from landfill to generate renewable electricity. This plant is 90% Delorean Corporation owned. In Stage 1, the project will process up to 54,000 tonne per annum of organic and agricultural waste streams for the generation of 160TJ biomethane. In Stage 2 (future expansion), there is the potential for expansion to 71,300 tonne per annum.
